Dr. Rolf Jacobson, Professor of Old Testament at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, and one of the “stars” of the Sermon Brainwave podcast, preaches a sermon from Psalm 34. “It may seem strange to you that I’m preaching from the Psalms,” Jacobson begins. “Some preachers don’t preach on the Psalms, but I do, and it’s not just because I’m an Old Testament professor who specializes in the Psalms. It’s because these are the songs that God has given me to be the soundtrack for the imaginary drama of my life.”
