Bishop Michael Curry endorses
A Sermon for Every Sunday

Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, was one of the first preachers to record sermons for ASFES. He was still Bishop of North Carolina in those days, but was excited about this new project and its potential to help small churches that did not have or could not afford a regular preacher. This interview was recorded on his iPhone at the Festival of Homiletics in Minneapolis in May, 2014, and later posted on his blog.

Rachel May, Pastor of Franktown United Methodist Church on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Virginia, takes on that difficult saying of Jesus, “Whoever welcomes you welcomes me” (Matthew 10:40-42), and especially the idea that those who welcome his disciples will be “rewarded.” What? Does Jesus have a rewards program? And is that what it takes to get people to do ministry?
