“Jesus Clothes” (C13: Seventh Sunday after Epiphany)

Rev. Kate Alexander

Rev. Alexander explores the Jesus’ words in the Gospel of Luke. She declares that Jesus’ “grace is far more powerful” than the ways of the world. She concludes, “Shame has no place in the kingdom of God.”

Kate began her ministry at Christ Church as curate in 2007, and has served as rector since 2018. Her primary role is caring for Christ Church in all of it’s faithful, interesting complexity, as well as leading the congregation into a vibrant future in downtown Little Rock. A west coast native who now happily calls Arkansas home, Kate attended Mills College in Oakland, California, Harvard Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California, where she completed a Ph.D. in systematic theology. She is married to the Rev. Dr. Jason Alexander, who serves as canon to the ordinary. Together they keep joyfully busy with two ministries, three teenagers, three cats, and one golden retriever.
