In those days it was all about believing in Jesus so that when you died you could go to heaven instead of hell. Belief was part of a transaction. But these days Amy’s faith is not transactional, it’s transformational; it’s about becoming a whole new person here and now. That kind of faith doesn’t only save us, it saves the cross from becoming a cliché.
