Bishop Michael Curry endorses
A Sermon for Every Sunday

Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, was one of the first preachers to record sermons for ASFES. He was still Bishop of North Carolina in those days, but was excited about this new project and its potential to help small churches that did not have or could not afford a regular preacher. This interview was recorded on his iPhone at the Festival of Homiletics in Minneapolis in May, 2014, and later posted on his blog.

Critics today might have told Jesus to “soften up his message a bit.” Dr. Somerville reminds us that Jesus is not afraid, nor does he even seem to think in the categories of failure and success. His whole agenda seems counter-cultural and what if he is right?
