Richard W. Voelz is an Associate Professor of Preaching and Worship at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA. His sermon for this Sunday is based on that difficult parable from Matthew 22:1-14–the Wedding Banquet–which is a good bit more challenging in Matthew’s Gospel than in Luke’s (something Dr. Voelz discovered only after he had agreed to preach on it). But he does a magnificent job of “squeezing the gospel juice” out of this parable, no matter how dry others may have found it.
