Isaiah 25:1-9; Psalm 23; Philippians 4:1-9; Matthew 22:1-14
Adams interprets Matthew 22:1-14 as a challenge to religious gatekeeping and performative faith. The wedding banquet represents God’s open invitation, especially to those pushed to the margins by exclusionary Christianity. Rather than idolizing the publicly pious or “special,” Christians should embody love, welcome seekers, reject harmful barriers, and help make the “kin-dom” of heaven crowded.
