C24: The Fourth Sunday of Easter, Year C (2022)

Ryan Ahlgrim

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” These words begin one of the most recognizable and familiar psalms. In today’s sermon, Ryan Ahlgrim, pastor of Richmond’s First Mennonite Church, admits that he reached a point where he got tired of over use of Psalm 23. He hasn’t preached a sermon on Psalm 23 for 20 years, but “that ends now.” He says, “We are living in a time of troubled waters…now we need this psalm more than we have ever needed it before.” Listen as Ahlgrim walks us through this familiar psalm and gives us insight into how God can guide us beside still waters and restore our souls.
