Bishop Michael Curry endorses
A Sermon for Every Sunday

Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, was one of the first preachers to record sermons for ASFES. He was still Bishop of North Carolina in those days, but was excited about this new project and its potential to help small churches that did not have or could not afford a regular preacher. This interview was recorded on his iPhone at the Festival of Homiletics in Minneapolis in May, 2014, and later posted on his blog.

This passage feeds that interest. “It is better for you to enter life maimed/lame/with one eye than to have two hands/two feet/two eyes and go to hell, to the unquenchable fire.” Connors explains that the word for hell in this passage has a different meaning.
